Dana is an offering, often anonymous, given to spiritual sages for their teachings - which are traditionally given voluntarily.
I don't actually know the contents of this little package - it was found in a Japanese household shrine bought at auction.
It ended up in this wonderbox in homage to my many wise and compassionate teachers.
