Early in 1987 twenty years of making wearable art came to an end and I began to use my textile surface design skills to make works that would be worn by walls.
It was a radical change of direction for me. Once taken, the surprises contained in the three envelopes would manifest, but meanwhile I was pretty scared. The cord escaping from within the picture and draping over the edge of the frame - is me.
